Online Telematics Service Provider, Cybit, has announced the first UK order for its new Fleetstar Logistics telematics solution from specialist commodities haulier QD Logistics, which will implement the solution across its fleet of Volvo, Mercedes and DAF vehicles that operate internationally.
Fleetstar Logistics is a highly configurable solution designed for the requirements of transport and logistics companies. The solution streamlineday-to-day business processes whilst providing strategic management data and on-screen KPI reporting. To aid driver communication, Fleetstar Logistics comes complete with in-cab touch-screen communication, truck navigation and also allows the secure monitoring of digital tachograph and CanBus data from any web-connected PC.
"The Fleetstar Logistics solution is exactly what our business needs to keep it moving forward," commented Frank van Kerkhof, Director, QD Logistics. "We are a specialist commodities transporter for goods such as coffee, potatoes and cocoa and we're unique in that we offer a fleet of highly trained and multi-skilled drivers. Our fleet goes right across Europe, so it's essential that we can communicate effectively, track our vehicles in real-time and monitor driver hours quickly and accurately."
Richard Horsman, Cybit's Chief Executive commented: "Cybit is providing QD Logistics with a low-risk partnership and a safe pair of hands as the company looks to strategically implement telematics to protect its margins by reducing operating costs, enhancing customer service and improving compliance. Fleetstar Logistics has been developed using Cybit's logistics sector expertise which has further expanded since the acquisition of Truck24 earlier this year."
"As the telematics market matures this contract win validates Cybit's acquisition and market consolidation strategy. Cybit has developed a product provided by wholly-owned subsidiary Truck24, specifically for the UK market. Fleetstar Logistics now provides UK operators with proven technology already used by over two hundred European logistics operators," Richard Horsman continued.
In addition to the back-office and driver communication functionality, QD Logistics will have access to a wealth of dynamic performance analysis using Fleetstar Logistics' CanBus reporting including integration with digital tachograph that will provide a suite of real-time driver management, monitoring and safety enhancements and historical analysis of driver, vehicle, route and planned vs actual performance.
"Fleetstar Logistics is fully scalable and can provide HGV and Logistics companies with exactly the functionality that they require," commented John Wisdom, Sales and Marketing Director, Cybit.
Fleetstar Logistics can also enable operators and logistics companies to integrate with end-to-end supply chains adding real-time data to advanced software. Full reporting structures and easily created summaries of activity help to inform customers of fleet performance something that QD Logistics will be doing with its clients, who are looking for a personalised, specialist service.
