Leading pallet distribution network Pall-Ex has announced a major new appointment to its senior management team.
Sean Sherwin-Smith is to take on the role of Director of IT, to head up the networks IT division and help drive the continued development of the business.
The position will see Sean taking responsibility for Pall-IT, a bespoke system which facilitates freight management throughout the 100 depot strong Pall-Ex network.
Sean joins Pall-Ex with over 15 years experience in the logistics industry, having worked for a number of key names, including CEVA Logistics and United Parcel Service. His wealth of experience spans the design and deployment of barcode systems, web based services, RFID, mobile technologies and most importantly logistics IT strategy.
Commenting on his new role, Sean said: Im thrilled to be joining the UKs leading palletised freight network.
