DY Pallets Logistics wins prestigious national award

Staff at Dudley-based DY Pallets Logistics are celebrating after winning a prestigious national award for their customer service skills. It is the third time in two years the firm has won the monthly award, organised by the Fortec Pallet Distribution Network.

The criteria to win the award includes best overall service to the Network, speed and courtesy when answering the telephone, resolving issues and assistance with special customer requests. The winner is voted for by fellow Fortec licensees.

DY Pallets Logistics fended off competition from more than 60 other Fortec licensees across the country to win the accolade.

Paula Mclachlan, Director of the firm which is an arm of Dudley-based family haulage firm Narfreight Logistics, said she and her team were delighted with the recognition.

She said: We are very happy to have won this award yet again. To win it three times in two years when it is a 60-strong licensee network shows we must be doing something right.

DY Pallets Logistics was established in June 2006 as a pallet delivery arm of Narfreight Logistics. Its original client base was in Dudley but in the last two years the firm has also taken in the Walsall and Birmingham areas and is now branching out in to Worcester. Today it has 30 clients on the books.

Paula said: We are delighted with the way things have progressed with Fortec over the last two years. We joined Fortec from day one of going into pallet deliveries. Fortecs central telesales support have proven to be of tremendous benefit to us as it has helped us cut overheads always a bonus when running a business.
