TruckProtect has sold over 100,000 units of its commercial vehicle anti-fuel theft device. The firm launched its InstantFit NECK-IT range of products just over two years ago and in a short time convinced the transport industry it was just what it needed to halt fuel thieves.

TruckProtect products provide a wide range of vehicles with complete protection against fuel theft and siphoning, offering anti-siphon units to fit every make and model of commercial vehicle in the UK. They fit all major manufacturers vehicles, including DAF, Mercedes, Volvo, Renault, Scania and Iveco, as well as a large number of diesel vans, buses and even materials handling machines such as fork lift trucks.

The product was launched in the Middle East in June selling 3,000 units within three months and is also in demand in the USA, as it fits all US brands of large truck, including Peterbilt, Kenworth and Freightliner. It has also been a stunning success in Europe, with one distributor alone selling 2,000 units in July. Regular sales are also made to Africa.

The company hit the 50,000 units sold mark early this year and has seen remarkable sales since, doubling that figure as increasing numbers of transport operators realise it is the most effective way to win the war on fuel theft.

As a result, the company has dealt the largest single blow to fuel theft, a move applauded and increasingly supported by its ever-growing army of customer converts, who now demand the TruckProtect solution over others in their ongoing battle to stop fuel theft from their vehicles.

TruckProtect CEO Russell Fowler put the companys success down to one major factor: Our products work, halting fuel theft, which can cost companies thousands of pounds, whether it be the siphoning of a few litres by opportunists or an entire tank full by organised gangs.  While success is great, we have to be careful and we face copy products even from within the UK

Russell Fowler believes that with diesel prices rising, there has been an increase in fuel theft, which is harder for transport operators to absorb. He added: What TruckProtect does is it enables them to fit an entire fleet from a single source and do so cost effectively, as the units take minutes to fit and can be interchanged between vehicles.
