Swisslog is presenting its newly developed conveyor technology ProMove for the first time at the CeMAT 2008, the leading intralogistics fair, which opens its doors today. ProMove features a modular design, intelligent tools for product design and layout configuration and is operated by a proven control system.

ProMove, the latest development of Swisslog-Accalon pallet conveyors, stands for Professional Movement of goods. The new technology was developed with the aim to achieve lowest lifetime cost through systematic fulfillment of customer needs, combined with a superior quality throughout the entire process. While the material handling systems are tailored to each application, the highest reliability is secured by using proven technology. The conveyor elements are light and compact and, at the same time, also extremely stable.

The design is completely modularized, a decisive advantage for the implementation as well as applicability to diverse industries (e. g. pharmaceuticals, retail). The modular approach applies down to a detailed level and covers all aspects of the system (mechanical, electrical, controls system). ProMove is operated by the established Swisslog-Accalon BOX control system and software. It allows for, among other things, remote monitoring on PDAs and rapid error-finding correction.

Besides the presentation of ProMove, Swisslog will be exhibiting at its stand C24 in hall 27 the following solutions and products:

CaddyPick the efficient picking system for the fast picking of store-friendly units which has been repeatedly and successfully implemented as a standarded industry solution, e.g. for retail

Vectura, the multidimensional stacker crane based on standard modules, adaptable to specific requirements

MultiCar, the electric track vehicle systems carrying payloads of up to 60 kg

TransCar, an automated guided vehicle combining intelligent technology with compact design

All these solutions excel through their manyfold and reliable applications as well as their economic efficiency. The systems and related software can be flexibly adjusted and upgraded to changing needs.

Additional information about Swisslog's activities at CeMAT can be found on the Internet at www.swisslog.com/cemat. This page also provides the details on the daily presentations given by the Swisslog specialists from the Industry Practice Groups (IPG) 'Retail' and 'Food & Beverage'. Swisslog has created these and other IPGs as regular units to specifically address the needs from clients in the respective industries.
