Packaging supplier Kite Packaging is celebrating after being one of 33 suppliers out of a supply base of 50,000, to be awarded the Premier Supplier Award (2011) from the Eaton Corporation.

The gong is the 6th consecutive award presented by the international power management company, to Kite in recognition of the quality, innovation and management solutions that Kite brings to Eaton's supply chain.

Neil Hopkins, relationship manager at Kite said: "We are delighted to receive this award from the Eaton Corporation.  The award marks a continued partnership approach between Eaton and Kite, where Kite has helped Eaton to achieve their goals."

The award is usually presented at an annual event held in the US, but being sensitive to the current economic climate, members of Eaton's senior European management team opted to present Kite with the award at a review meeting held in Birmingham.

Craig Reed, Eaton's senior vice president for supply chain management, said: "We are proud to honour this elite group of suppliers for their outstanding service and commitment to excellence.  The Premier Supplier Awards are reserved for Eaton's best suppliers across the enterprise."
Neil added: "The award is a huge endorsement of the fantastic service that Kite Packaging is able to provide.  It is extremely important that our customers rate us so highly."

Kite Packaging is an employee-owned business and operates from five regional branches in the UK.  Offering service (100 % OTIF is Kite's benchmark) and solutions to larger packaging users, especially multi-site industrial businesses.
