MiX Telematics is making final preparations for its 2017 Safety Road Show, an event designed to showcase the role that state-of-the-art telematics systems can play to enhance road safety while also delivering significant operational benefits.
This year's event, which will be held at the Rockingham Motor Speedway (Corby NN17 5AF starting at 09:00) is the second edition of a successful format begun by MiX Telematics in 2016 whereby the company is joined by a selection of its customers and industry partners to share knowledge, discuss best practice and consider future telematics developments.
"The response from the inaugural event held in Doncaster last year was tremendous, so this year we have expanded the programme to cover an even wider range of topics with a broad selection of cutting-edge technology on show," says Richard Adams, Sales Director for MiX Telematics (Europe). "In addition to presentations and workshops, there will be live demonstrations. The event has been designed to appeal equally to operators of heavy and light commercial vehicles, buses, coaches, as well as van and car fleets. Our team has worked exceptionally hard with our industry colleagues to deliver a programme with something for everyone, and I would therefore encourage transport operators to join us on the day and benefit from the expertise on display."
Attendees at the MiX Safety Road Show can look forward to a special guest appearance at the event by former Formula One racing driver, three times Le Mans winner and the newly installed Team Principal of Audi's Formula E racing team, Allan McNish. Allan will be delivering a presentation entitled, 'What telematics has done for me, and what it can do for you' as well as meeting with guests as they attempt to 'beat the pro' in the unique MiX Simulator Challenge.
