The Fork Lift Truck Association (FLTA) has announced Formula One motorsport maestro Mark Gallagher will be the guest speaker at its National Fork Lift Safety Conference 2017.
Mark has worked at the forefront of the F1 motor racing industry for more than 30 years, holding executive roles at Red Bull Racing, Cosworth F1 and Jordan Grand Prix.
He has worked closely with a host of stellar F1 team owners and drivers, including Jenson Button, David Coulthard, Mika Hakkinen and Mark Webber, and he will share his stories and insights into the fascinating "business of winning" in the high stakes world of F1.
From head of Cosworth's F1 Business Unit and head of commercial affairs at Jaguar and Red Bull Racing, to marketing director at Jordan Grand Prix, Mark has been immersed in the motorsport industry his whole life, and now manages his own team, Status Grand Prix.
Peter Harvey, FLTA chief executive, said: "We're delighted to secure Mark Gallagher as our motivational speaker for the Association's National Fork Lift Safety Conference next year.
"Mark has a 17-year track record in public speaking and his passionate, inspirational speeches focus on the key business lessons that can be learned from the intensively competitive world of Formula One team management.
"Safety is one the driving forces in motor racing, and he has an extraordinary knowledge of the lengths that teams go to in order to protect drivers in this most dangerous of sports.
"We also expect him to touch upon the themes of leadership, establishing winning team cultures, collaborating with key stakeholders and the logistical issues inherent in moving hundreds of tonnes of priceless equipment from circuit to circuit.
"The exceptional team cultures that pervade the world of Formula One are truly unique, and we look forward to hearing about the secrets of success employed by F1 teams in their relentless pursuit of continual improvement," said Peter.
The FLTA's National Fork Lift Safety Conference will take place on Wednesday 20th September at the Heart of England Conference and Events Centre in Coventry.
