Self-proclaimed MAN enthusiast Carl Hamer is behind the wheel of a new MAN TGS 32.480 8x4 rigid bulk body and is very happy to be there.
Carl, who along with brother Mark, runs Tony Hamer & Sons Ltd from Market Drayton in Shropshire, insisted on MAN for his replacement truck.
"I have always liked driving MANs, I like the ease with which they drive and we have always had top rate service from the company. This new TGS is the fifth MAN I have had over the years and I have always had good experiences of them."
Tony Hamer & Sons Ltd currently runs four MANs in the seven-strong fleet.
The company was founded in 1964 by Carl and Mark's father Tony. It began as a single-truck firm shifting sand and gravel for a local quarry and then in 1968 expanded with the purchase of more vehicles before branching out in to lime-spreading.
Artics were added to the fleet with a salt contract with ICI and now the firm operates tippers and box trailers shifting a variety of palletized goods.
MAN sales executive Chris Clee added: "Carl is a true advocate for the MAN brand.
"He knows his trucks and he recognises the qualities of MAN and the fact he chooses to drive a MAN TGS day in day out speaks volumes for the esteem which he has for MAN.
"Tony Hamer & Sons Ltd are longstanding and valued customers and we look forward to continued business with them."
