Linde Material Handling has extended current Chief Operating Officer at Linde Sabine Neuss' contract until the end of 2020.

Sabine will continue to be responsible for production at Linde Material Handling's plants across Europe and head up the further development of production systems at all KION Group locations.

The latest success under Sabine's management is the on-schedule completion and commission of the KION production plant in Stříbro, Czech Republic, which relies largely on digitally networked systems, following a "Smart Factory" concept.

Around €14 million has gone into equipping the 24,000 square foot building which has the capacity to produce 12,000 industrial trucks a year.

Thomas Toepfer, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Linde Material Handling, said "Sabine Neuss has done an excellent job over the recent years. Significant process and efficiency improvements have been implemented in the Linde plants under her leadership and the level of quality has been further enhanced.

"The production development program for Linde's main plant in Aschaffenburg, which is designed to run until 2020 and includes a total investment of €60 million, has been developed and launched with the help of Sabine."

Neuss joined Linde Material Handling in early 2013, coming from automotive supplier TRW Automotive Safety Systems where she was Managing Director and Director Operations Steering Wheel. Prior to this, she was a member of the Management Board of Behr & Co., in charge of global development of engine cooling systems for passenger cars as Group Vice President. In addition to her management position at Linde Material Handling, Neuss is also a member of the Supervisory Board of Continental AG.

She commented: "I am delighted with this vote of confidence and I would like to thank the Supervisory Board of Linde Material Handling for the new mandate.

"Together with our highly motivated and qualified staff, we will consistently maintain progress along our path of continuously improving performance for the benefit of our customers."
