DK Fulfilment, the Coventry-based e-commerce order fulfilment specialist, aims to raise £20,000 for Turn To Starboard, a charity that supports serving and retired Armed Forces personnel and their families who have been affected by military operations.

All staff at DK Fulfilment's facilities are being encouraged to take part in a series of sponsored events and challenges in an effort to reach the target figure by the end of this year.

Uniquely, Turn To Starboard uses Royal Yachting Association sailing courses to help participants with resettlement and reintegration issues they may be facing. The internationally recognised courses also provide beneficiaries with excellent career building opportunities.

"Service life places unique demands on military personnel – many of whom experience hostile situations that lead to mental health problems and psychological disorders such as depression, anxiety and, in some cases, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder," says Robin Buxton, DK Fulfilment's European Marketing Manager.

He continues: "It is vital that, as a country, we help the men and women who develop such issues as a result of their service and Turn to Starboard undertakes a great deal of impressive work that sets these individuals on a positive path for the future."

To kick start DK Fulfilment's fund raising effort, a team from the company's Rugby warehouse facility will attempt to complete The Wolf Run - a hardcore 10k run across raw natural terrain, including open ground, woodland, lakes and thick mud – that takes place in Warwickshire in September.
