Onward Holdings Ltd has ended an 80-year tenure in Ackworth, near Pontefract, and relocated the company's head office to a much larger custom designed facility at the modern Featherstone industrial park, as part of an ongoing expansion strategy.

Investing in the new head office at Green Lane Industrial Park, will contribute to the smooth running of the family-run business and support Onward Holdings' increasing accommodation needs.

The firm specialises in operating competitively priced industrial warehousing and retail parks in the North of England and operates from a number of locations. Its warehousing sites include nearby Castleford, Doncaster and Scunthorpe as well as the very busy Onyx Retail Park at Wath upon Dearne, which now has very limited letting capacity left on the site.

Onward Holdings logo which simply says 'space for all' encompasses a range of storage options which ranging from small self-storage units to 126,000 square foot industrial warehouses.

Sales director Neil Storey, a third generation family member of the business said: "It has proved challenging over the last few years to get businesses to relocate to Ackworth due to the increasing residential nature of the village. I am therefore delighted that Onward Holdings has made the right decision to relocate to Featherstone which is ideally situated near to the motorway network and other corresponding businesses. The new head office at Featherstone will provide even better working conditions for our staff and will accommodate the needs of the rapidly growing company."

This latest move by Onward Holdings follows hot on the heels of the company moving its Green Door self-storage division to newly fitted premises at the same Featherstone location, which is situated within one of the most sought after northern distribution locations in the UK, with easy access to the transport network and just minutes from the M62.
