Precision Mounting Technologies Ltd. (PMT) has added to its computer mounting solutions line-up with the introduction of forklift mounts and a distracted driving solution (which limits the functionality of mobile computers while the vehicle is moving).

Forklift Mounting Flexibility and Mobile Computing Versatility

The forklift mounts have been designed to attach to a variety of positions on the forklift for ease-of use/access to computers and increased mobile workforce productivity. Mounts can be adapted and installed in overhead cage, vertical pillar and/or dash locations on the forklift truck.

"Our forklift mounting products deliver key attributes including safety, ergonomics, quick and easy 'no drill' installation and mounting flexibility, making them an ideal match to satisfy the demands of forklift truck and fleet operations," stated Brett Rowland, PMT President and General Manager. "The robust design and all-aluminium composition of the mounts provide a high degree of stability, allowing them to withstand the shock and vibration associated with vehicles constantly on the go. The forklift mounts, in combination with PMT motion mounts and computer docks/cradles, offer a range of mounting configurations and versatility when mounting tablets, keyboards, fixed-mount computers and laptops."

Distracted Driving Solution

Motion Manager is a microcontroller-based peripheral that incorporates sensor technology. When connected via a USB port to a Microsoft Windows computer with Motion Manager software, the system can be set-up to blank the display when the sensed vehicle is in-motion above the configured threshold. It helps prevent distracted driving for organizations by complying with legislation and corporate safety policies, thereby minimising organisation liability and providing a safer workplace.
