A young international rugby player from Lichfield has tackled her need for sponsorship after receiving support from a local firm.

Palletways, based in Fradley, has presented rugby player, Sarah Nicholas, with funds to contribute towards her training kit. Sarah currently plays for Lichfield Ladies in the RFU Women's Premiership, for England under 20's, Midlands Senior Women's Divisional team and for the University of Gloucestershire where she is studying Sports Coaching.

Commenting, Sarah said: "I'd like to thank Palletways for sponsoring me for the next 12 months - it's great that they are supporting Lichfield Ladies Rugby Club like this. I'll wear my Palletways branded training kit with great pride at all of our Women's Premiership games and I will do anything else I can to help the business."

Luis Zubialde, managing director Palletways (UK) Ltd, added: "We are proud of our record in getting behind the local community so when we heard that Sarah needed support, we were really pleased to be able to help her out. We'll follow her progress in the sport with interest and hope that she enjoys great success on the playing fields this year and beyond."

Palletways has enjoyed great success in the last two decades. Founded in 1994 in the UK, Palletways' network has grown from delivering 46,000 pallets in its first year to 30,000 consignments of palletised freight every day - equivalent to one pallet every second. Today, the network delivers to markets across 14 European countries via 300 depots and 12 hub operations. In the UK one in every four pallets handled by palletised freight networks is distributed by Palletways.
