Palletways delivers early Christmas cheer to men's cancer charity

Christmas has come early for a leading charity appeal thanks to a donation from Palletways, the European express delivery network for consignments of palletised freight.

Palletways brought early festive cheer to Everyman when they handed over a cheque for £9,725.41. The Everyman appeal is run by The Institute of Cancer Research, London, and is dedicated to funding research into male cancers.

The money was raised via a year-long programme of fundraising activities with Palletways staff taking part in dress down Fridays, cake sales and sporting events. Luis Zubialde, managing director Palletways (UK) Ltd, said: "Our company operates in a predominantly male environment, it seemed only right to help a charity appeal of this nature. Everyman's work is something that will resonate with many of our workforce and we couldn't be happier to donate such a big sum to them."
