Employees at Cannock-based APC Overnight recently got pretty in pink to raise money for the Breast Cancer Campaign.

Staff at the national courier firm took part in the annual Wear It Pink event on Friday 24th October and raised a sum of around £250.

The fundraising campaign created by one of the UK's leading cancer charities encourages people to wear pink clothing or accessories at work or at home, while donating along the way. At APC Overnight's headquarters on Kingswood Lakeside, office staff raided their wardrobes for anything pink and a host of pink-themed activities also helped to boost the total money raised.

Employees donated pink sweets which were sold on a pop-up pink sweet stall, and a sweepstake was also held to raise further funds.

Emma Scott, Head of HR at APC Overnight commented: "It was very colourful in the office as most people donned pink clothes, pink rabbit ears, and even pink lipstick! The Breast Cancer Campaign's Wear It Pink event gave us an excellent opportunity to have a lot of fun and to raise funds for a very worthy cause. We were very pleased to collect almost £250 on the day and I would like to thank everyone involved for their efforts and their generosity."
