UK wine solutions company, Kingsland Drinks Ltd, has signed up to work alongside Europe's second largest pallet pool operator, LPR.

Based just outside Manchester, Kingsland Drinks Ltd specialises in supplying quality wine to many of the UK's leading retailers, including Tesco and Co-op. The company also works on developing its own distinctive wines, having created more than 40 successful new wine brands in just five years. Its wines and spirits will now be transported on LPR's distinctive red pallets. LPR's high quality pallets and straightforward operations were the main factors that attracted Kingsland Drinks Ltd to the company.

Gary Lightbown, Kingsland Drinks Ltd warehouse and distribution manager, commented: "We are extremely happy with the service we have received from LPR so far. The communication has been excellent and they have a great relationship with our current packaging supplier, allowing quality and consistency. We have even been able to save environmentally by reusing the pallets after our packaging is delivered to us, which takes a trailer off the road for every eight deliveries of packaging we receive."

Jane Gorick, general manager at LPR UK, added: "LPR prides itself on being able to provide high quality pallets and a reliable service to a range of customers across the UK. Kingsland Wines as a new and valued customer is a perfect demonstration of LPR's service ethics; we listen, respond and work to develop an interesting commercial and service solution which meets their customers' needs."

LPR collects pallets in 12 countries across Europe through more than 100 local depots. The business, which is a division of Euro Pool System, handles more than 53 million pallet movements a year, with turnover in excess of 133 million Euros.
