The German wholesaler of electrical installation supplies, Technilog, has chosen Knapp to supply its automated handling solution and the company signed the contract at the recent CeMAT exhibition in Hannover.

The deal for the handling system – to be installed at Technilog's logistics centre in Ludwigsfelde, near Berlin – was signed at the show on Wednesday 21 May by Dr Dirk Jandur, Managing Director of Technilog, and Knapp CEO, Gerald Hofer. The range of equipment supplied in the project will include 6 Pick-it-Easy workstations, which will be supplied by a 7-aisle OSR Shuttle system.

Knapp is a supplier of integrated automated warehouse systems and software. With the motto 'making complexity simple', Knapp demonstrated hands-on intralogistics at CeMAT: developments in the OSR Shuttle family of products, intelligent robotics with image recognition technology, sustainable and ergonomic workstation design and new developments in KiSoft Vision technology, which is used not only for operator guidance but also as a tool for quality management.
