Look-up vehicle registration with Chevin's FleetWave

Vehicle registration look-up is now available for Chevin's FleetWave fleet management software.

The new feature means that just by typing in the registration or VIN of a vehicle, all the other major information fields will auto-populate, saving users a huge amount of time and effort as well as improving accuracy.

Chevin managing director Ashley Sowerby said: "This is one of those seemingly simple innovations that will actually make a huge difference to fleet managers in their day-to-day use of FleetWave.

"Simply by typing in the registration of a vehicle, the data will be added to all the major vehicle fields of the software, meaning that users don't have to spend time searching for and keying detailed technical information.

"This will be much more efficient but also, because of the inevitable errors that creep into typed data, will mean that the information stored about each vehicle will be much more consistent and accurate."

Chevin's FleetWave web-based enterprise fleet solution is used to manage 700,000 fleet vehicles around the world with customers including St Gobain Transport, Bristol City Council, Honda Motor Europe and Marie Stopes International.
