Containerlift, the international container handling specialists have selected Vacu-Lug Traction Tyres to provide a comprehensive tyre and support service package for their UK and European Sidelifter sales and rental operation.
Based in Dunmow, Essex, Containerlift is the only container handling company in the UK who provides a nationwide end-to-end pick up and placement service. Using bespoke-designed Steelbro Sidelifter trailers, each equipped with twin, 18 tonne capacity cranes, the company works with a cross section of businesses - from longer term contracts such as recycling or waste disposal, to specialist major assignments including the London Olympics.
From its Grantham manufacturing base, Vacu-Lug is providing a combination of Premium 385 65 and 315/70 Duramold retreads and Westlake tyres for approximately 33 trucks and 19 tandem axle trailers on a dedicated PPK (pence per kilometre) contract.
Support is provided by Vacu-Lug's online VMS (vehicle management system) programme, which ensures close monitoring of tyre wear and maintenance requirement. Meanwhile, nationwide operational service and backup is supplied by ATS Euromaster.
