Dr Ross Moloney, CEO of Skills for Logistics, has been appointed to the position of Chairman of the Joint Approvals Unit for Periodic Training (JAUPT) board. JAUPT is the organisation responsible for managing all the applications to provide Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) training courses from approved centres.
Operating under a Service Level Agreement with Driving Standards Agency (DSA) and the Driver and Vehicle Agency (DVA), JAUPT manages the approval and quality assurance of centres and courses delivering periodic training in line with the requirements set out in the European Union (EU) Directive on Initial and Periodic Training.
Dr Ross Moloney commented: "I am very proud to be taking this important role, which places Skills for the Logistics as the voice of the Logistics Sector at a crucial time as we approach the September deadline for ensuring that drivers have completed their 35 hours of periodic training. I look forward to supporting the sector to help it hit this deadline."
