Matt Farrall, head of marketing and IT at Farrall's Transport, is to speak to a broad spectrum of UK retail businesses on 'Sourcing & selecting a logistics partner' at this year's Spring Fair at the NEC, Birmingham (6th February, 10:30 – 11:00 in the Export Theatre).

"Many small to medium size businesses in the retail sector are actively expanding their market presence using the power of the Internet. However, a great number are being held back by their fulfilment functions. Finding the right 3pl partner - one that can add value and exceed customer expectations - can allow a successful business to reach its full potential," says Matt Farrall.

Topics will cover: Reasons for outsourcing, sourcing and selecting a logistics partner, inventory management – putting in place stock management and planning to ensure capacity where and when you need it, returns management, documentation and the logistics mix.

Farrall's Transport will be exhibiting at the show in Hall 1, stand J51.

Farrall's Transport is a fast expanding logistics business founded on the sound ethics and values of a family run enterprise. Now moving into the third generation, the family is investing for the future by brining in further expertise to develop senior management capabilities, HR resources and a new Training Academy.

As part of this programme, the company has recently invested £1.5 million expanding the company's transport fleet to support business growth, improve environmental performance and increase fuel-efficiency. Since March 2013, Farrall's has taken delivery of 13 new Volvo trucks and 10 new trailers complete with tail-lifts, boosting the company's delivery power to 40 vehicles and 60 trailers.
