Significant restructure of senior management team at GVPS

Golden Valley Pallet Wrap Specialists (GVPS), the Gloucester-based specialist supplier of hand and machine pallet wrap, has announced a significant restructure of its senior management team.

Martyn Sumner, previously the company's operations director, has taken on the role of managing director. He takes over from Suzanne Griffiths following her recent retirement.

Meanwhile, GVPS's commercial director, Mike Wardell, has been appointed as the company's sales director.

Both Martyn and Mike have broad experience of the pallet wrap sector having held senior positions in a number of leading companies in the industry.

GVPS's chairman, Colin Griffiths, commented: "I am delighted to have two such experienced, talented and dedicated people as Martyn and Mike to take the business forward."

Martyn Sumner commented: "We are developing an industry-wide reputation as a company that provides a quality product and a better service than consumers of pallet wrap have traditionally been used to and, despite the difficult trading conditions, our turnover has continued to increase in line with our five year plan.

"We have everything in place - including an experienced and highly motivated sales force, a highly efficient supply chain and, of course, the right products, to ensure that we take the business to a new level."
