In order to support significant new business growth within the ocean freight product, Hellmann Worldwide Logistics UK has invested in five staff at its Lichfield headquarters.

Having re-established its ocean freight operational departments in Bradford and Basildon, the new appointments in Lichfield are intended to allow the company to deliver significant service growth in the remainder of the year and into 2014.

To date, the Hellmann UK ocean freight division is ahead of its budget and turnover is up by 28%. Additionally, volumes have increased by 15% and bottom line net profit is up by 248% compared to the same period in 2012.

The ocean freight growth follows the company's recent announcement that its Contract Logistics and Consulting product has grown 300% since 2011.

Adrian Jennings, General Manager of Ocean Freight at Hellmann, commented: We have employed new staff to ensure we are placed perfectly to serve our clients with good, industry knowledgeable people.  We strongly believe that investment in expert, experienced staff members is critical to our continued and future success."
