Acumen Distribution Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Acumen Logistics Group and one of the UK's fastest growing logistics companies, has opened a new warehouse in Halewood, Liverpool. The 50,000 sq ft racked warehouse, situated in Speke Boulevard close to Junction 6 of the M62, comprises of 1914 pallet locations as well as a 2-storey office block and a bulk storage area.
The new warehouse is dedicated to one of Acumen's major automotive customers. It will be open 24/5, and weekends when required, to handle bulk inbound components for eventual selection and Just-in-time sequenced delivery to the customer's manufacturing process located nearby.
Acumen's major new investment also includes the purchase of five forklift trucks and delivery vehicles. The new warehouse will be operated by a combined warehouse and logistics team of 13 personnel, which includes the appointment of 10 new members of staff.

Acumen has been growing steadily over the past three years by offering customers a diverse range of services. These include inbound automotive parts, kerbside-recycling collections and distribution as well as finished vehicle transportation.
