Kuehne + Nagel has been awarded an exclusive contract to manage the logistics activities for Bayer HealthCare Chile – including warehousing, laboratory testing, quality control and distribution.
According to the agreement, Kuehne + Nagel will provide services to handle all of Bayer´s products in the country and also products of other pharmaceutical companies on behalf of Bayer. Furthermore, the scope of responsibilities covers value-added services such as repackaging and labelling as well as special promotions preparation. Another task Kuehne + Nagel will be responsible for is to perform laboratory tests of the products. Those tests are requested by the Chilean import law.
With a team of 50 dedicated staff, Kuehne + Nagel will operate within Bayer's prime facility in San Joaquin, Santiago, in a 4.000 sqm area. This logistics site encompasses five CoolZones for temperature-controlled cargo.
