Shop Direct Group signs further ten-year deal with Norbert Dentressangle

Shop Direct Group (SDG) has awarded Norbert Dentressangle a further ten year contract for the warehousing of 'two-man' products. With brands including Littlewoods, Very, Isme, Kays and Woolworths.co.uk, Shop Direct Home Shopping Ltd. is a UK online and home shopping retailer, with annual sales of around 1.7 billion and five million customers.

Norbert Dentressangle is responsible for the receipt, quality inspection, putaway, pick, despatch and returns management of products requiring two man delivery, primarily furniture and white goods, with all home deliveries being carried out by Yodel.

The furniture operation is based at Norbert Dentressangle's warehouse in Wrexham, North Wales and the white goods operation at a second site at Hooton, near Liverpool. Across the two, Norbert Dentressangle employs more than 200 colleagues and is responsible for the provision of 900,000 sq ft of warehousing and the handling of around three million items per annum.

Norbert Dentressangle is amongst the UK's leading providers of e-fulfilment and reverse logistics solutions, serving household names including Asda, B&Q, Comet, House of Fraser, Marks & Spencer, Superdrug and Wilkinson.

Using specialist expertise and resources, Norbert Dentressangle provides accurate stock management and fast and cost-effective fulfilment of on-line orders. The company's unique returns management capabilities reduce cost, increase recovery values and allow customers to meet environmental obligations and targets.
