This year's Logistics Link North exhibition on 27-28 September will be held in a brand new distribution facility in Doncaster, offering more facilities and greater value and interest for exhibitors and visitors than ever before.  The warehouse development offers exhibitors an internal display area of up to 240,000ft", plenty of roof height and generous external space for live displays and big equipment.   Doncaster is a timely choice as the recent announcement of a new 400m inland port and logistics park at Rossington Island near the town, due to come on stream in late 2012, will make the area even more of a logistics hot spot.

Logistics Link North will provide the busy logistics professional with the most time-productive and efficient way to keep in touch with the latest in logistics products and services.  In just a few hours visitors can catch up with hundreds of new and proven products, services and technologies, network with colleagues and leave with fresh and imaginative ideas on improving productivity and reducing costs.  It is officially supported by the Chartered Institute of Logistics, the Road Haulage Association and the United Kingdom Warehouse Association.

Exhibitors will be presenting products and services ranging from materials handling machinery, packaging and labelling systems, automated storage and handling equipment to warehouse building services.  For visitors interested in IT systems and software for both warehouse and transport applications, Logistics Link North will offer the biggest choice under one roof for years.  Dozens of exhibitors will be presenting the latest in WMS, RFID, scanners and bar codes, stock track and trace, remote vehicle monitoring, transport and fleet planning and management, mobile computing and many more.

The UK's market leading and longest-established regional logistics event, Logistics Link North follows the recent successful Logistics Link Live show at the NEC.  Visitor numbers were up by 13% over two busy days with enthusiastic and positive comments from exhibitors including David Gray of Proteus Software - "A great deal of interest generating a good number of quality enquiries": James Astley of Schoeller Arca Systems - "Logistics Link Live was a huge success and exceeded our expectations", and from John Maguire, Flexi Narrow Aisle, "It was a great show with an exceptional quality of visitors coming through the door."   With visitors from leading companies such as BA, BAT, Coca Cola, Jaguar Land Rover, Morrisons, Unilever, Vodaphone, Bentley Motors, DHL and Kuehne + Nagel, it's no surprise that exhibitors were pleased with the show.

There was standing room only at several Logistics Manager sponsored seminars addressing live issues such as RFID and 2D codes, voice picking technology, improving transport management and implementing WMS.  The organisers of Logistics Link North are planning an even more extensive seminar programme where delegates can hear first hand how some of the UK's most effective logistics executives are achieving world-class supply chain performance.
