Knapp UK Ltd has appointed Mick Priestley as Business Development Manager for its conveyor subsidiary, Knapp-Moving AS. Moving, acquired by Knapp in 2008, has operated a successful conveyor sales network for over 40 years, with particular strength in Scandinavian markets. Mick Priestly, 55, has been appointed to boost the profile of Moving in the UK market, re-introducing its extensive range of robust products via resellers (integrators, OEMs and distributors).

Says Craig Rollason, Head of Sales & Marketing for Knapp UK, "We are delighted to welcome Mick to the KNAPP team. Having worked as Sales Manager for WES Conveyors and, before that, Conveyor Sales Manager for FKI Logistex and then Distributor Manager for Dexion, Mick brings with him a wealth of experience in the logistics industry and a high level of conveyor expertise. This will provide the ideal platform to build sales of Moving conveyor products in the UK market."

"The Moving range is vast," says Mick Priestley, "featuring not only conveyors but also palletising systems, sorters and miniload cranes. We will be focusing on Moving conveyor products for pallets, cartons and totes, supplying them on any scale from small requirements up to large applications."

"Mick's appointment," says Craig Rollason, "has already reinvigorated interest in this part of the Moving product range. There is an established customer base in the UK for Moving products and a genuine demand for these proven products as clearly demonstrated by the fact that Mick managed to secure in excess of 30,000 of sales within his first week at Knapp."
