Since joining the Fortec Pallet Distribution Network in November of last year Transpeed UK reports that it has recorded double-digit growth in the number of pallets into the Network, supported by "excellent delivery performance and account management" for customers across the whole of the north east.
Alan Thompson, Operations Manager of Transpeed, based on the Team Valley Industrial Estate, said he was delighted with this growth. "We have built up a fantastic relationship with Fortec over the past year. When we first joined the Network we were delivering 10 to 20 pallets a night. Now we are delivering 80 to 100 and putting 25 to 30 a night back into the Network. This side is continuing to grow and we are hoping that by Christmas we will be putting around 50 pallets into the Network every night. We are delighted with the way the business is expanding it seems we are on an upward spiral alongside Fortec."
Established in 2006 the company had been primarily focused on the distribution of newspapers throughout the night. With its fleet redundant throughout the day the company branched out into haulage and invested in more vehicles. Today it employs around 50 staff and operates a 50 strong fleet including 40 trucks and eight vans.
