Barloworld Handling will be exhibiting on stand 231 at the Multimodal 2010 exhibition in April showing the freight transport and logistics industry ways to boost materials handling fleet performance and efficiency.

The NEC in Birmingham will play host to Multimodal 2010 (April 27-29), where Barloworld Handling will present the latest developments used to optimise materials handling operations and the advantages of working with Barloworld.

Multimodal gives us the opportunity to continue dialogue with many companies in the sector and demonstrate the breadth of our experience and intelligent service offering explains Mike Parkin, Ports and Terminals Sales Manager at Barloworld.  The company supports many of the largest materials handling fleets nationwide and is highly experienced in the sector with representation in almost every major UK port. Barloworld is the UK distributor for Hyster, with a comprehensive range of lift trucks renowned for their durability and reliable performance in tough applications.

Visitors to Barloworlds stand will see Hysters new three wheel electric truck which is claimed to be the most energy efficient truck of its type and features an innovative steer axle providing highly manoeuvrable performance within the confines of a warehouse environment. The company will also be showcasing its new fleet management system which features a unique telemetry device fitted to trucks which automatically transmits usage data directly to Barloworlds back office system.
