Eddie Stobart has upgraded its refrigerated trailer fleet with the acquisition of 30 new Schmitz Cargobull refrigerated trailers. Eddie Stobart already operates an extensive fleet of Schmitz Cargobull trailers and this latest order follows the acquisition in 2008 of 150 dual - and 100 single-temperature vehicles from the Schmitz Cargobull range.

The box units for the new Stobart Group trailers are made from Schmitz Cargobulls patented Ferroplast insulated panels. A pure hardened foam, Ferroplast has the lowest thermal conduction of all known insulating materials. The Ferroplast walls of a Schmitz Cargobull refrigerated box are bonded together, to offer the highest standards of hygiene and to reduce maintenance over the whole of the working life of the semi-trailer. In fact, such is the companys faith in Ferroplast, that the boxes are offered with a full five-year structural warranty.
