CMS Supatrak was awarded the IT innovation award at the recent annual Greenfleet awards at the Guildhall in London for its Ecotrak fuel saving technology.

The annual GreenFleet Awards were presented this year by motoring journalist and presenter Tiff Needell. The event, which recognises organisations taking steps towards and contributing to sustainable transport and low carbon fleets, saw a record number of applications this year across the 23 categories.

The award commended CMS SupaTraks development of the EcoTrak fuel saving solution, which using CANbus technology, enables fleet managers to manage their drivers behaviours in real time and identify areas of good and poor performance. By identifying drivers who practice less efficient driving behaviour in areas including MPG, green band driving, engine idling, use of cruise control, over revving and speeding, fleet managers can implement remedial training where  necessary and re-educate these drivers to modify their performance to deliver a more efficient driving style. As a result, fuel costs can be significantly reduced and vehicle carbon emissions lowered.

The GreenFleet Awards judges commented that the impressive customer case studies confirm the ability of the CMS SupaTrak solution to deliver targetted information that focuses management attention on those areas where the greatest operating cost reductions can be achieved.  The cost savings and carbon dioxide reductions are indeed impressive.

Jason Airey, Managing Director of CMS SupaTrak collected the award and commented We are so happy to accept this award.  We have worked very hard to develop an innovative solution that fits the needs of our customers, saves them money and reduces their impact on the environment.
