TomTom WORK, Design and Management Systems Ltd (DMS), and Destiny plc have combined forces to create JobFlow PLUS. This is a comprehensive and fully scalable solution suitable for small companies as well as those managing hundreds of operatives servicing thousands of clients.

DMS JobFlow software is used to manage and control jobs from start to finish. Integration with the TomTom WEBFLEET management software from TomTom WORK enables job notifications to be sent direct to operatives on the road through the TomTom GO navigation and communication unit in the vehicle. Once instructions are accepted using instant and safe touch-screen communication, the TomTom GO unit navigates them direct to site by the most direct route and the TomTom LINK 300 device tracks the vehicle movement and provides fleet reporting.

On site the operative uses a Destiny digital pen to handwrite worksheets that are sent instantly, via a Bluetooth connection in the TomTom GO unit, to populate the JobFlow system. From this instant feedback invoices can be raised as soon as jobs are finished, maximising cash-flow. For Sage Line50 or Construct users, sales and purchase data can be imported from JobFlow with no re-keying required. JobFlow's dynamic reports, including work in progress details and costs, keep operators fully informed at all times.

This functionality complements that of TomTom WEBFLEET, which is the core of a full connected navigation system. As well as tracking vehicles and providing instant communications, considerable data can be gathered and useful reports quickly produced to monitor vehicle and driver performance and identify opportunities for efficiency gains.

John Hooper, MD of Design and Management Systems, originally developed JobFlow for a 100 plus operative company providing multi-trade services to clients across the south of England. He has already had a positive response to JobFlow PLUS. "Existing and potential JobFlow users can see the potential of upgrading to JobFlow PLUS" According to JobFlow user Mike Whyte at FMe, a specialist building and maintenance company operating in the public, retail and leisure sectors. "The key benefits, apart from instant response and feedback mechanisms, are improvements in cash flow, increased and enhanced performance and productivity leading to improved profits and a more productive workforce and ultimately the protection of our investment in people and systems".

Jeremy Gould, UK Sales Manager at TomTom WORK says that this solution can bring significant competitive advantages to companies in the service sector. "These companies are operating in a highly competitive environment and this solution will help them to raise their game," he says.

"The integration of JobFlow through TomTom WEBFLEET brings a new dimension of efficiency to handling workflows that involve field-based workforces. Combining this with the use of the Destiny digital pen technology adds further potential to reduce running costs and improve the customer interface."

Edward Belgeonne, CEO and founder of Destiny said "This is a great example of collaboration in an environment where our award-winning digital pen technology is really coming to the fore. Service companies can now take advantage of an easy-to-use but very powerful tool that can enable them to significantly streamline their operations, take advantage of new business opportunities and improve cost-effectiveness."
