LINPAC Allibert, global materials handling specialists, has launched what it claims is its greenest pallet range yet. The ECO Packpal Series not only fulfils customers needs for increased supply chain efficiency at a reduced cost, but also meets stringent environmental and health and safety targets.

In the current economic climate, LINPAC Allibert was keen to produce a pallet range which would contribute to reducing transportation costs for customers. ECO Packpal offers increased strength and durability meaning it is less susceptible to damage and therefore will not need to be frequently replaced at cost. In addition the pallet is lighter than previous models which, combined with its nestable design, will reduce fuel costs particularly during reverse logistics. Insurance costs may also be decreased as the pallet is designed to help customers meet health and safety targets through its safe and easy handling.

ECO Packpal satisfies three ecological criteria to assist customers in reducing their carbon emissions; it is constructed of 70% recycled polypropylene, produced in a fully certified ISO 14001 plant, and is also fully recyclable at the end of its life enabling customers to minimise waste.

Versatility is addressed through the ECO Packpals modular design, allowing customers to adapt the pallet for their individual needs. It offers the lowest height in the industry, allowing 44-high stacking with a maximum of 1,452 per full truck in the 1200 x 800 model, or 1,144 in the 1200 x 800 model.

Frederic LeDuc, European Product Marketing Manager, Pallet & Dolly for LINPAC Allibert commented; The ECO Packpal is our response to customer requests for a lighter pallet offering the same performance in order to increase their efficiency while reducing costs. It also addresses the general shift within the industry towards manufacturing eco-friendly products as standard. ECO Packpal dispels the myth that committing to environmentally-friendly policies means increased costs, and we expect this new pallet to be well-received by customers on the manufacturing, retail and industrial sectors due to its versatility, safety and efficiency.
