Avery Dennison has introduced the Monarch Sierra Sport4 9493; a mobile hybrid thermo-printer with the capability of being connected to a variety of vehicles.

With a rapid on-demand capability and heavy-duty, impact-resistant housing, the new market entry Monarch Sierra Sport4 puts up with the most demanding industrial requirements. The label printer is particularly suitable for logistical use. It can easily be fixed to forklift trucks or transport equipment, and can be carried to any location using a hand strap or shoulder strap.

Mobile printing increase productivity, as it enables the printer to be located where the print job is required. In addition, the hybrid printer copes with scanning and printing in one operation. Time-consuming allocation of labels to the appropriate product is also now a thing of the past.

The quality of the printed labels remains excellent, regardless of whether printing is thermo-direct or thermo-transfer, even during high operational temperatures and adverse conditions. IThe printer may be powered by either AC, DC or through the vehicle power source and can switch from one to the other depending on the application.

The connecting facilities make the printer especially flexible and the graphic LCD user interface makes it extremely easy to understand..  It is fitted with an RS 232 interface for backwards compatibility, supports Bluetooth and extends the printer head service life. For increased safety it  has wireless capability and is, of course, ROHS-compatible.
