A recruitment consultancy that helps logistics and supply chain companies to find the right talent has announced plans to double in size over the next 12 months.

Cast UK, which has also helped over 20,000 supply chain and logistics workers find the right job, has appointed Jeff Roberts as its new managing consultant as it looks to double staff numbers to 24 by the end of 2009.

As part of his new role, Jeff, 27, will manage Cast UKs entire team of recruitment consultants, as well as leading the firms own recruitment ambitions.

Cast UK was set up three years ago and has already broken the 1million turnover mark as logistics, procurement, supply chain, fulfilment and freight management companies increasingly turn to consultancies to attract the best staff.

Wayne Brophy, Cast UKs managing director, said: Because we specialise in finding the right job candidates for logistics and supply chain companies, we make sure all our staff have prior industry experience in these sectors, and this is one of the reasons we have been so successful.

We expect to be able to double staff numbers over the next 12-months as our business continues to expand significantly. We are now looking for the right people to work for our business and Jeffs appointment as managing consultant is key to managing this exciting period of growth.

Like all our employees, Jeff has a significant amount of hands-on experience in the sectors we operate in, including time spent with one of the worlds largest logistics companies. Our knowledge of the logistics and supply chain industries is one of our greatest assets and this strategic appointment continues this tradition. I am delighted to welcome Jeff to the team.

Jeff, who holds a degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management from University of Northumbria, was previously employed by DHL-Exel, one of the worlds biggest logistics companies, where he managed projects for O2, Debenhams, Selfridges, House of Fraser and Reebok. He has also worked in a national logistics roles for Cosalt, an international supplier of marine safety equipment.
