Kardex, the document management specialists, is enhancing the user interface of its document management systems. Thanks to the work counter being electronically adjustable, users are now able to switch between the seated and standing operation quickly and comfortably.

Stringent regulations govern workplace ergonomics, and the work counter, which is the area where the user picks and chooses files, is a key part of the Human Machine Interface (HMI). In line with this, Kardex has added electric adjustment for ease and speed of use.

With multiple tasks of varying length, it is vital that the working environment should be adjustable, says Richard Price, business development manager of Kardex. For instance, if the user is undertaking a larger task for a longer duration, then they would be more comfortable sat down in comfort. A quick task, on the other hand, would only require the user to be stood up. The ergonomic and productivity benefits are obvious, concludes Price.

The electric adjustment is just one of the latest product enhancements to the Kardex document management systems range.
