FKI Logistex, a global leader in integrated material handling solutions, recently formed the Global Account Team to optimize service to its parcel customers internationally. The new team will provide comprehensive support at all stages of the material handling implementation process from pre-sale support and design to system installation.
According to Ray Guasco, vice president of the Global Account Team, expansion into new global markets means significant shifts in automation deployment strategies for large parcel companies. "Global parcel companies are requiring greater involvement from material handling suppliers at the initial planning and design stages, not just the final installation phase," he said.
The Global Account Team will work closely with the regional FKI Logistex sales and operations centers in North America, Europe and Asia Pacific to support its customers' headquarters, while deploying sales and bid management to local project sites. Guasco will head the group, which consists of Global Parcel Account Managers and Global Parcel Systems Engineering experts.
"The new Global Account Team will enhance product and service offerings to the parcel industry on an international scale, while continuing to offer customized, dependable service on a local level," said Reg Gott, managing director, FKI Logistex.
