Iveco, Europes largest full range commercial vehicle manufacturer, will be exhibiting products across two main stands at the CV Show 2008, with a line-up of vehicles ranging from 3.5 to 44 tonnes.  This will include Ivecos largest ever display of heavy trucks at the CV Show, comprising four Stralis and one Trakker, supported by a separate light commercial stand featuring three popular Daily models.

Truck range
Centre stage on the Iveco truck stand (No. 7-040, Hall 7) will be a line-up of four Stralis led by a top-of-the-range Stralis Active Space Super 6x2 twin steer tractor unit (AS440S56TX/P), featuring the most powerful 560 hp Cursor 13 engine and benefiting from a 4m wheelbase with a long range 560 litre diesel tank.  Designed for long distance national and international haulage, this Stralis will also feature an optional lane departure warning system and adaptive cruise control, for maximum safety.  It also offers drivers 20 per cent more internal space (+95 mm in height, +90mm in depth, allowing for a total of 1.8m) than the previous AS model, making it one of the most spacious two-man high roof cabs available on the market.

Displayed either side of the flagship model will be two 4x2 tractor units, including a Stralis Active Space Super (AS440S50T/P) which will be delivered to Fiorano Ferrari, an exclusive owners programme managed by Ferrari GB, immediately after the Show.  The second 4x2 tractor will be a Stralis Active Space (AS440S45T/P), designed to suit small to medium sized fleet operators.  They will be joined by a Stralis Active Time 6x2 twin steer tractor (AT440S45TX/P) an ideal vehicle for distribution and fleet operations as well as medium to long-haul domestic missions.

Iveco will also be exhibiting its latest Trakker 8x4 tipper chassis (AD340T36K), which features an Active Day cab offering the same degree of comfort for construction work as is typical of Ivecos on-road models.  Key to this vehicles specification is its single reduction Meritor axles and ventilated disc brakes which are designed to improve both fuel economy and braking performance, ensuring Trakker appeals to a wide customer base.

Completing the display on Ivecos truck stand at the CV Show will be an 18 tonne Eurocargo 4x2 rigid (180E25S), built on a 5,175mm wheelbase and powered by a 5.9 litre tector engine producing up to 251 hp at 2,700 rev/min, and up to 850 Nm of torque between 1,250 and 2,100 rev/min.

Every vehicle on Ivecos truck stand is certified to stringent Euro 5 emissions standards and fitted with the latest on-board diagnostics equipment (OBD2), combined with selective catalytic reduction (SCR) technology.  This ensures each vehicle meets the requirements for the Reduced Pollution Certificate (RPC) and entitles operators to benefit from a reduction in Vehicle Excise Duty of up to 500 per year.

Light commercial vehicle range
Ivecos dedicated light commercial vehicle display (Stand No. 11-120 in Hall 11) will feature three high specification Dailys to represent the range of models available between 3.2 and 6.5 tonnes, with each vehicle featuring Ivecos proven AGile transmission, which is an increasingly popular choice for vehicles operating in congested urban environments.

Optional across the complete Daily product line-up, the AGile gearbox offers two different modes, allowing the driver to choose between fully automatic or manual sequential gear selection using a lever on the dashboard.  It uses an intelligent system that adapts automatically to each drivers individual style whilst maximising fuel economy and offering levels of driving comfort normally only associated with a car.

The first two vehicles on display are a Daily 35S12 AGile panel van featuring a 3,300 mm wheelbase and 12m load space, together with a larger Daily 35S14 AGile, with a 3,950 mm wheelbase and 15m load space.  These vans represent just two of eight different load space volumes available between 7 and 17.2m, and like all Daily models, offer a wide side-sliding door together with twin rear doors which have 270 degree opening, enabling maximum load access.

Completing the line-up of Iveco light commercials on display will be a Daily 35C15 AGile chassis cab fitted with an Ingimex Titan tipper body.  Built on a 3,450mm wheelbase, this vehicle highlights the bodybuilding flexibility afforded by the Daily range, which is a popular choice for tipper, dropside, curtainside, Luton, box and various refrigerated applications.

Amongst the optional extras fitted to the display vehicles include a state-of-the-art full screen satellite navigation system, bluetooth handsfree phone function, reversing camera and sensors, loading light, ESP and a long-range 100 litre fuel tank all available as factory-fitted options on every new Daily.
