SAS is a unique safety system which actively works with the driver to keep the truck stable and operating within safe parameters. There have been no fatalities from lateral tip-overs in trucks protected by SAS, despite a combined operating time of over 400 million hours*. The instrument panel and overhead guard have been redesigned to give the operator the clearest view when the forks are at ground level, lorry bed height and at maximum height. In addition the Tonero now has the widest mast channel on the market, significantly improving visibility for the operator.

For busy environments, customers can opt for an additional safety technology package. The Tonero Safety+ formula offers an advanced travel control system with a load weight indicator and speed limiter to ensure that drivers stay within site driving speeds. Technology further helps reduce potentially dangerous situations, monitoring speed and acceleration when the Tonero senses a load is at height. This dynamically limits the forklifts speed, controlling sudden acceleration in order to reduce the risk of load spills.
