Widely regarded as the UK’s centre of excellence for integrated research into land and freshwater ecosystems – and part of the National Environment Research Council – CEH employs 450 people at five major sites in England, Scotland and Wales. The new 3,300 square-metre research facility at Wallingford includes high-grade laboratory space for chemistry and molecular biology.  It is on this site where Tiger Rack hygienic shelving is providing essential storage support facilities.
 
Alex Reeve, an Associate with architects R H Partnership of Cambridge, London and Brighton, is clear why Tiger Rack was specified for the CEH project: “We chose Tiger Rack primarily for its cleanability and to avoid corrosion in cold rooms,” said Alex.  “Ease of installation was another factor.  On this project, it was undertaken by the main building contractor.”
